QUEEN OF THE RATS, DEMOS is a four-track EP that was released on July 12, 2024, under my artist name, Ratgirl. It consists of song demos I had been sitting on for over three years at that point and comes in at 13 minutes and 8 seconds. Inspirations for this album come from pop, hyperpop, and hip hop, as well as from artists such as 100 gecs and Kanye West.

The throughline of these songs is the loss of love, the craziness of realizing you’re single now, and the reexamination/rebirth of feelings you thought were lost. Actually, it’s not that serious. There are comedy songs in here.

These songs are demos and were meant to be a part of a much more finished and polished album, including one of my more popular singles ‘EVIL GIRL,’ but I had taken a step away from music and didn’t want to sit on these songs forever.
